Employee Spotlight: Sashie Misner
For our latest Employee Spotlight, we sat down with Landscape Architect Sashie Misner to learn more about her work at GTA, what drives her, and what she loves to do when she’s not in the office. A member of our team since 2017, Sashie has extensive experience designing for both public and private spaces, including urban parks, educational play spaces, affordable housing developments and multiple commercial developments. She is a Maine Licensed Landscape Architect and is passionate about creating spaces that are both functional and emotionally fulfilling.
What motivates you?
I’m passionate about tackling problems creatively through design and finding solutions that add unexpected benefits for the user.
What do you like most about working at GTA?
I really enjoy having the opportunity to better explore the building / site interface, allowing the landscape to be an integral part of the building program.
What are your favorite parts of your job?
My favorite elements include problem solving, concept development and improving spaces for people.
And finally, what do you like to do outside of work?
I love spending time with my family, hiking, biking, cooking and being outside.
