Gawron Turgeon Dillon Architects, P.C. (GTD) is looking to add to our team of talented professionals. We are a collaborative architecture, planning and interior design firm dedicated to delivering thoughtful, high-quality design solutions. With a strong balance of technical expertise and creative vision, our team works across a range of project types, creating spaces that are both functional and inspiring. Located in Scarborough, Maine, our dog-friendly office specializes in senior living, financial institutions, corporate office spaces and buildings, medical offices, healthcare facilities, auto dealerships, mixed-use developments and multi-family housing.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and motivated Architect to join our team. This role involves contributing to all phases of project development, from concept design through construction administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, design-driven, and comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must be willing to travel to various project locations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop design concepts and translate them into construction documents
  • Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and details
  • Collaborate with internal team members, consultants, and clients
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support permitting processes
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction
  • Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration
  • Ensure projects meet applicable codes, standards, and client expectations
  • Actively monitor project budgets and schedules
  • Maintain a professional and friendly attitude

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Licensed Architect or on licensure track is preferred
  • 10 years minimum of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Revit (required); AutoCAD, Twinmotion, Enscape, Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Creative Suite are a plus
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailing
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
