Portland Regency Hotel

Originally a state armory facility, the Portland Regency was historically renovated into a 105 room, 100,000 SF, five-star hotel/convention center, with a two-story elegant grand dining room, nightclub and full athletic club. The Portland Regency anchors the business community in Portland’s Old Port area.

Due to the high public profile of this sensitive project, we involved multiple community-based organizations into the design process to ensure approval on all levels. This project included traffic circulation studies, pedestrian movement analysis, and handicap streetscape accessibility.

As recognition for its preservation of a historically significant building and its superior service, the Portland Regency was invited by the National Trust of Historic Preservation to become a distinguished member of the Historic Hotels of America.
