Avesta Housing, Little Falls Landing

Gawron Turgeon Architects, P.C. worked with Avesta Housing to design a senior housing project on the Presumpscot River in South Windham, Maine. This project—known as Little Falls Landing—has helped to revitalize Lower Falls Village and provide quality, affordable living for its residents.

Residents of the 24 one-bedroom apartments have access to a shared interior gathering space, a shared exterior patio and communal gardens; walking paths and sidewalks help connect the residents to the village and community facilities.
To create a healthy and energy efficient structure, GTA adopted environmentally friendly design standards throughout the design process —MSHA/LEED Guidelines were followed and green building materials were incorporated.
