Gawron Turgeon Dillon Architects, P.C. (GTD) was called by Northbridge Companies to assist with the design of the renovation of 70-year-old farm stand space tied to their Carriage House senior living community.
The farm stand was a historic fixture in the town of Wayland and unused for decades when Northbridge invested in bringing it back to life while connecting the larger community with the residents of Carriage House.
The completed project consists of a commercial kitchen, open community gathering space, and retail space for coffee, pastries, and fresh flowers.
The finished product was featured on HGTV’s ‘Farmhouse Fixer,’ highlighting the renovation and community space. The design team had to work under a strict timeline alongside the hosts and production team from HGTV to ensure that the filming schedule would stay on track and on budget.
