Land Rover / Jaguar

Gawron Turgeon Architects, P.C. designed the Land Rover sales and service facility located on Route 1, near Haigis Parkway, in Scarborough, Maine.

The 2,136 sq.ft. showroom has exposed heavy timber trusses with a tile floor, oak trim and custom furnishings.

The parts and offices equal 1,914 sq.ft. and include retail parts sales and a parts room with a loft for bulk storage.  Reception, offices, services write up and employee toilets and lunch room, with a connection to the shop area, house the administrative staff for this facility.

GTA designed the 5,544 sq.ft. repair facility to include nine service bays and two wash bays of masonry and steel fame construction and two overhead doors for access.

GTA was later hired to add a Jaguar dealership to the existing Land Rover Dealership in Scarborough, Maine. The renovation included a Jaguar portico display and entry, a Jaguar showroom, reception area, a client lounge and boutique, a children’s play area, Jaguar sales offices, a conference room, a manager’s office, a F&I office, a Land Rover showroom with compass rose, Land Rover sales offices, service writer desks, an indoor service drop-off, a tool room and a tech lounge. The dealership remained open for business during the entire construction process and GTA solved a number of design challenges for this project. Land Rover and Jaguar required all of their respective brand elements to be included in the design. Furthermore, the narrow site and need for outdoor vehicle display required the design team to be judicious with their use of space—GTA creatively designed small additions that provided large impact.
