100 Middle Street

Gawron Turgeon Architects, P.C. was retained to provide design services for this 4,000 SF lobby and entrance to a multi-tenant building in downtown Portland, Maine.

The first floor includes a main lobby area, elevators, corridors and a guard station. GTA’s goal was to create an eye-catching, inviting and innovative lobby that makes a lasting impression.

We achieved this with new lighting, new flooring and new inset carpeting. We modified the finish of the vaulted ceiling, corridors and elevator lobbies and we reworked the interior shell of the elevators. A new paint palette throughout, in addition to new artwork and furniture, ensured an elegant and airy lobby with a welcoming sitting area that provides sun, shade and seasonal color.

On the exterior, we designed new plaza lighting.
