Avita of Wells

With the success of Northbridge’s Avita of Stroudwater Project, the owner decided to replicate their 60-bed residential care/memory care community to address a senior living need in Wells, Maine. Gawron Turgeon Architects, P.C. worked with Avita staff to improve upon and fine-tune the original Avita of Stroudwater design concept.

Avita of Wells—which is also based on a successful neighborhood building layout—provides a special home for its residents, with more intimate environments that promote safety and independence for aging seniors. Residents’ common areas include dining rooms, café, sun porches, activity rooms, and memory care gardens. The staff benefit from a well-designed commercial kitchen, laundry facilities and administrative spaces.
