Construction begins at the OceanView Fitness Center

GTA recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the new OceanView Fitness Pavilion, the newest addition to the OceanView at Falmouth campus.

OceanView has a robust fitness department, with a fitness manager and personal trainers who have developed an exercise science-based program for the OceanView residents. This has made the retirement community a sought-after destination for those interested in health, wellness and fitness.

The new pavilion will include a larger aerobics floor, a push sled and turf strip, extensive weightlifting options, spin bikes, suspension trainers, slide board, a bounce wall and flooring for slam exercise, a juice bar, and state-of-the-art cardio equipment, many with screens enabled for cable, wi-fi and streaming services. Kate Foley, OceanView’s fitness center manager, noted that the facility will have the look and feel of one designed for a university, and that equipment has been selected for a diverse range of abilities.

In addition to the fitness facility, the building will feature four new apartments, a private training studio, a rooftop deck and a parking garage.
